Understand Time Zones

Dlopo uses a schedule time zone to define your working hours and can display those times in a different zone for each guest.

Schedule time zone

Every schedule has a Time Zone. Weekly hours and date overrides are interpreted in this zone.

If a schedule uses Europe/Dublin and Monday begins at 09:00, Dlopo treats that as 09:00 in Europe/Dublin. The underlying moment may appear at a different clock time to a guest elsewhere.

Booking-page display

A booking link can use:

  • Visitor local time, which presents times in the guest’s detected or selected zone.
  • Link schedule time, which keeps the public page in the assigned schedule’s zone.

Guests can select a displayed time zone on the booking page. This changes how available moments are presented; it does not edit your schedule or create different availability.

Daylight-saving changes

Dlopo uses named time zones rather than a fixed UTC offset. When a region changes clocks, the conversion follows that region’s daylight-saving rules. Your recurring hours remain anchored to the local clock time in the schedule zone.

Choose the right time zone

Use the zone that represents where your working day is based. If you travel temporarily, decide whether your availability should stay anchored to your usual office zone or move with you.

To change one exceptional date, use a Date Override. To move the entire recurring workweek to another zone, update the schedule’s Time Zone and review the public booking page afterward.

Troubleshooting time differences

If a guest reports an unexpected time:

  1. Confirm the Time Zone on the assigned schedule.
  2. Check whether the booking page uses Visitor local time or Link schedule time.
  3. Ask which display zone the guest selected.
  4. Confirm the date is not near a daylight-saving transition.
  5. Compare the same slot using both zone labels, not only the clock time.

The confirmed booking represents one moment in time. Host and guest may see different clock times, but those times refer to the same meeting.
